Can I become a professional footballer if I am 18?

So, I have always dreamt of becoming a professional football player. I even used to train for an academy team when I was younger. Thanks to some bad coaches I stopped training football. I still play regularly and I am still pretty good. I started training MMA and even though I became pretty good at it, I felt that I have some unfinished business with football. Football is my dream i will always love that sport and I would like to know if I could somehow revive my career. I am from Bulgaria and I am 18 now could anyone tell me a university in the UK whew I can study and train football there and become hopefully a professional player?

Realistically, I think it might be over. Your best chance might be to join a team in Bulgaria and work up from there or you could try and join a national league team or something here.
Without a contract you would ned to work your way up from like div 8, Jamie Vardy is a prototypical example.. started in like div 6 or 7 and just kept on showing he was way too talented that opportunities kept on coming. That said statistically this is very rare...
