pharmacy through clearing advice

to get straight to the point. i received an offer from aston and manchester to study pharmacy and i picked aston as firm (i want to stay at home) and UoM as insurance.

my issue is i want to go UoB but have been rejected post interview (which i thought i did well on lol)

i wOulDnT mind going aston but still preferably uob as i live so close to uob making everything more convenient.
should i call uob on results day to ask if they have any available spaces or how would i go about clearing in that way?

University of Birmingham has a web page here which explains the Clearing process. It even includes a "Register for a clearing alert" form.

Birmingham doesnt usually offer Pharmacy in clearing. You can try but in reality you would be best concentrating on your Aston offer.

And if they have already rejected you at Interview, they wont be interested in you in Clearing - even if they did have spaces.

mhmm i thought the same however i still haven’t received feedback regarding the interview because i found out through ucas and it said it could have been because there are no more places left so MAYBE on results day places could become available since not everyone will have let the entry requirement but idk tbf

Offers do not = places.

Hundreds more offers are made than places available - because of all the people who dont use that Uni as their Firm, or who dont get the grades and are rejected in August, or who defer, or cancel, etc etc. Universities carefully calculate exactly how many offers they need to make to get the right number of bums-on-seats in September. So the idea that any Uni could 'run out of offers' is incorrect.

So - you were interviewed and then didnt get an offer, and it was because your performance at interview didnt warrant an offer - you simply were not good enough. You can dress this up how you like and pretend to yourself that you didnt get an offer for whatever fancy reason you chose, but the reality was that they didnt want you. And they will not want you in August either.

Folks, please don't post your snap and insta here - this is for your own safety.

Hey , I’m in the same position as you right now. What did you end up doing and what do you advise me to do? I don’t mind Aston but UOB was my top choice.
