Questions about exam boards and biology.

I have some questions about exam boards with biology and A levels.

Firstly, say if someone did AQA at GCSE biology, then went to a 6th form that did Eduqas A level biology- will it be harder for them as the exam board is different?

Also, how difficult is the Eduqas exam board for biology compared to other exam boards such as AQA?

Thanks!

It should not be considerably harder. The subject content of A-Level exam boards do not differ greatly from each other.

Likewise A-Level Biology is not any harder for people who studied combined science biology, as the topics that were covered a little in triple science gcse will be introduced from the basics at a-level assuming no previous knowledge.

I am unfamiliar with the Eduqas exam board, but doubtless anything they would expect you to know that was covered in their gcse biology, would be taught from the basics at A-Level

I do eduqas and honestly it’s terrible..
I think the best exam board for a level biology is edexcel because majority of the questions are AO1 so more knowledge based. Honestly if I could go back I would go to a college that does that exam board because eduqas is very complicated compared to other exam boards in terms of how questions are asked. The content in eduqas a level biology is also slightly different to AQA (but similar to OCR)
