Marking help

Hi, my aqa business a level exam is on Tuesday so I really need some feedback on my 25 markers.
Please can you guys mark my 25 marker below and give critical feedback being really honest and how I can improve in the area as well . Aqa 25 marker:
Will the increases use of e commerce lead to all retailers operating only online? Justify your view. (25 marks)

Increased e commerce will not necessarily lead to all retailers trading through e commères only because this change will depend on the nature of the business and employees openness to change. Instead most retailers should use a mix of both physical and online presence.

Utilising e commerce is vital for each business in today’s time but only relying on it may be risky.ToysRus experienced strategic drift because the Roy manufacturer was unable to digitally compete against competitors like Amazon with its strong online presence being more appealing to toy buyers compared to ToysRus more physical one. Toysrus inability to meet growing demand of selling products from a website with 24/7 access contributed to reduction in revenue and ultimate failure in the uk. Therefore consumers becoming more technology oriented means inability of a business to have some e commerce at its disposal may result in falling behind on customer needs , leading to drop in competitive against rivals and potential drop in market share if a business doesn’t a have a strong differentiating factor. Also e commerce allows for 24/7 orders meaning competitions may experience more sales per day compared to a retailer with only a shop that closes at certain periods and so a drop in sales and potentially profit margins if costs don’t decrease in comparison to competitor can also lead fo decreases market share. Therefore a business should have online presence to meet customer needs and reach a wider target audience to stay competitive financially against e commerce retailers with strong online presence but this all depends on the ability of retailers to maintain a website successful with administration and others workers making website seem more appealing with detailed product descriptions and high resolution images.

On the other hand it depends in the nature of the business if it will fully rely in e commerce as not all may need to. For example, in the supermarket food industry food buyers may prefer to touch product like knock on a watermelon and look at fruit colours themeselves than through a picture. Therefore, e commerce not fulfilling such needs may mean reliance on only e commerce may not stimulate demand compared to supermarket retailers with physical products to sell. An inability to understand preferences in shopping from target marker may lead to customer dissatisfaction and decreased customer loyalty. This can lead to decreases revenue potentially meaning less dividends for shareholders not meeting shareholder needs. Therefore deleting on the nature of the business and from thorough research into target market preferences should business decide to set up as such.

In conclusion, the target market influence if retailers should be only online or not as well as if business has aims to remain flexible in the dynamic nature of business. Sole reliance on e commerce cannot be the case for all businesses especially since cybersecurity threats and crashing of websites from online attacks can increase downtime of businesses. Long term as preferences to technology in certain industries like toy occur to remain competitive , certain businesses ss do need to have a mix of both or just e commerce.

15 out of 25. You could Bring the marketing mix into it and talk about big data, plus data mining to track consumer habits.
When you talk about differentiating factors you should bring in Porters Strategies. Otherwise not to bad but I was taught do a fore using case study, against using different industry and then your conclusion using an AJIM. (Answer, Justify, It depends on... and Most importantly).
