Surrey uni clubbing

Can someone tell me how clubbing at Surrey is. Is it on campus or do people mainly travel to clubs. Are there themed nights or stuff like that?
Thank you
Hi @psychologyl0ver ,

Clubbing here at Surrey is a vibrant, fun and safe place! We have two nightclubs on campus at Surrey called Rubix (the biggest one out of the two) and The Basement (slightly smaller). Both are well equipped with their own bar too. Throughout term, there are regular clubbing nights, ‘Citrus’ and ‘Flirt!’, hosted on Wednesdays and Fridays, but other clubbing nights can fall on any other day of the week including weekends too.

Some themed nights include: RnB night (including other music genres), White Lies, Foam Party, Neon Night, Fetish Night, Candyland, Full Moon Raves and the list goes on. The venues can be rented by societies who also host their own clubbing night events throughout the year. The tickets are generally reasonably priced and the events are well attended, so it’s popular amongst students for a good night out. A fair few big name artists and DJs have also hosted at this uni, including celebrities too!

There’s also a handful of clubs in town, where students frequent too. If you’re feeling more adventurous, the clubs in London are easily and quickly accessible by train as well. So, I would definitely say your options aren’t limited.

If I’m honest, it’s not the best area for clubbing. Don’t get me wrong you can have a great time still because a lot of people do.
Rubix on campus has really packed and good themed nights on a Wednesday, and then some societies either go there or 33. But in the town centre there’s lab and popworld, popworld is awful don’t waste your time and lab is supposed to be good, but I’ve never really tried it. There is also amazing bars like five and lime, but a lot people go to the spoons.
