Would I still be eligible for the NHS support fund of £5000 per year if I'm only receiving the tuition fee loan?
The wording on the NHS Learning Support Fund webpage states that you only need to be 'eligible' for maintenance support from the Student Loans Company and not actually in receipt of it. There is also this wording in the detailed NHS LSF Guidance Booklet:
''Exception to the student loan requirement: Students who choose not to claim a student loan may still be eligible to access the NHS LSF; however, their eligibility will be assessed on a case by case basis. Non-loan applicants for NHS LSF will be asked to show they would meet the eligibility criteria defined by either SFE, SFW, SFNI or SAAS, if they had applied for a student loan.''

I would recommend contacting them if you are still unsure and would like some reassurance 🙂

Yeah, I'm from the UK, and it's a full-time course starting on September 24. It's for Speech and Language Therapy, undergraduate
