Hi! If you're still looking at clinical psychology, there's a lot of other jobs such as PWP (psychological wellbeing practitioner), CWP (children's wellbeing practitioner) etc. These roles are similar to therapist jobs in the sense you are getting a caseload of clients to work with, I think the title and the types of therapies you might specialise in differ slightly. There's a relatively new role known as CAAP (in Wales and Scotland) or CAP (in England) which stands for Clinical Associate in Psychology. It's a bridge between the assistant psychologist job and clinical psychologist job, where you're also taking on a clinical caseload but also working on other things such as service development. There are also support worker roles that also tend to be psychology-friendly. If you were interested in working in schools/with children, then also possibly learning assistant job roles?

Hey there 😀

You know what’s wonderful about diving into Psychology? It’s like unlocking a whole bunch of career paths you never even thought of! After graduation, it’s not just about the obvious choices. There’s a whole world of possibilities waiting for you to explore 🤗

Ever considered Human Resources? You’d be using your psych skills to recruit awesome talent, train employess, and boost team vibes within companies. Then there’s Education - supporting students both academically and emotionally, or hey, even becoming a teacher with the right Master's.

And let’s not forget about the marketing world! Dive into consumer behavior, trends, and help businesses rock their products and strategies. Lastly, your research and stats game could lead you to data analysis gigs, where you’d be crunching numbers, spotting patterns, and making big moves in industries like business, finance, or healthcare.

These are just a few examples that I heard about but I also heard that there is much more and I definitely agree with that as psychology degree equips you with a range of valuable skills that are transferable to various fields beyond psychology.

As a word of closure, even if you decide on something completely unrelated with Psychology you can still refine your career path by doing master's in a different field. Remember one think, everything is possible with right motivation and actions.

These are just a taste of what’s out there, but trust me, there’s a ton more waiting to be discovered! With a psychological degree, you’ve got skills for days that can rock any field you choose. And hey, even if you go a completely different route, don’t sweat it. A Master's in something else can totally reshape your path. Just keep that motivation burning bright and take action - anything’s possible!

I hope it was helpful 💪 Feel free to reach out if you have any questions 😉 You can also chat with me or other students directly through The Ambassador Platform.

Take care,
