Edinburgh vet students accomodation recommendations

Hi. Would like to have recommendations from vet students for most practical accomodation. Anyone stay at Pollock halls in catering and is there a long period when the canteen is closed due to different semesters? Can you cook in the pantries? Other ideas?

I'd love to know which halls people recommend for vet students please? It's all really confusing. Any comments would be great!

Hi are you an offer holder for vet med? I was wondering if vet med offers have gone out yet to any RUK students. Thanks

The halls at Pollock Halls, Sciennes, Warrender Park are on the good side of town for the bus journey to the vet campus. Although sometimes the holidays are not the same so meals are not served if you take catered.

Hi!
A batch of offers went out to RUK students last Friday, including myself. A couple of others have trickled out this week, and it sounds like some RUK applicants were put on the reserve list today and yesterday. I would check the main vetmed 2025 thread for the most current info as there is a greater concentration of applicants there 🙂 I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

This is super helpful, ty! There's so much choice for halls and it's a little overwhelming 😐️

Are you a current Edi student? (I literally tried to write the actual name but TSR bleeped it out with **** 😭)

My friend is a vet student that's how i know. You just need to decide if you need self catering or catered. That will narrow your choices. Be aware it is at least 50mins bus journey each way to the vet campus itself
