Convincing parents

I am an Indian, who has studied Science throughout his whole life. But in my class 8 or 9 I have fell in love with Business and Entrepreneurship. And as I have completed my 12 now, I am planning to do my undergrads in UK.

But the problem is my parents want to to study CS, and as this is a decision of my future, I want to study Business and Management. How will I convince them? Plz tell me.

Say you’ll do much better and feel that your student debt is better spent in a course that you’ll do well in because you’re passionate about it. If you can , tell them what plans you have for yourself in the future like what jobs or businesses you can start you can get with your degree  Reassuring them with actual evidence and a thought out plan, proving to them that it’s not just a spontaneous decision always helps parents esp Asian parents because they suggest a career based on what they know works because they want you to be secure in the future. But if you give them no reason to believe that it won’t work out for you then they can’t really complain lol
Are you sure that you can suceed in business? It requires a sort of skill that you cant just pick up in a university course.

Can you find a combined honours with CS to keeo them off your back and the other subjects you enjoy?

Many Unis in Scotland have a multi-disciplinary approach where you can later shed a subject over time and graduate in a single subject?

What career or particular industry are you interested in?
Maybe show them the stats showing how poor grad outcomes for COMPSCI are, (in the UK at least).

I have read a lot of books about business and Entrepreneurships. Wont it be enough?
