AQA Frankenstein Prediction

Hiii!

Does anyone have any predictions for AQA Frankenstein for tomorrow? I’m getting really stressed about it and feel like I can’t remember any quotes from the text! :frown:

Thanks!!

I havent heard any predictions but i will say this:
Revise prejudice theme because you can answer questions on…

The creature (being inherently good and only evil due to humanity’s prejudice and rejection of him)

Isolation (how it is fuelled by victor’s prejudice initially rejecting him as a ‘baby’… then how all of humanity - the idealised DeLaceys and even a small boy- express prejudice… context on how Rousseau said that all children are born good and corrupted by their experiences and therefore Shelley makes it clear that the Creature is a victim of prejudice/isolation)

Women (how the monster is paralleled with almost all female characters - Safie, Eliz and Justine are all outcasts accepted for their beauty, meanwhile, the prejudice exertted on the Creature makes him unable to find the “sympathies necessary for his being”)

Then revise ambition because it closely ties in with revenge and knowledge and how Victor’s perverse religious devotion to ambition/revenge causes his destruction and the Creature is a doppelganger with victor in terms of his ambition, so it fuels both of their descent into monstrosity

Important quotes:
“I ought to be thy adam but rather i am the fallen angel who thou drivest out from joy for no apparent reason”
“i was benevolent and good, misery made me a fiend”
“i saw an heard of none like me, was i then a monster, a blot upon the earth from which all men fled and… disowned”
“fervent longing to penetrate the secrets of natyre”
“you may blast my other passions but revenge remains, revenge, henceforth, dearer than light or food”
“My hatred and revenge burst all bounds of moderation”
“Seek happiness in tranquility and avoid ambition”
“Shall each man find a wife for his bosom and each beast have its mate and i be alone?”

And ngl those themes are the core of Frankenstein… you can manipulate any qs to suit these if the exam qs is super evil! Good luck!
