Should I ask him to become exclusive

I've been talking to this guy off Bumble for a week and a half now. We've met 4 times - the third time he kindly helped me move my stuff out of my uni flat and the 4th time we went out and stayed in a hotel together (and kissed). I really like him, he mostly seems interested although takes a while to respond to messages. I've been hurt in previous relationships/situationships. He said he wants a relationship but he wants to take things slow and likes the pace we are moving atm - is now too early to ask if we can not talk to other people (not necessarily a relationship)?

If you’re staying at a hotel together this is a reasonable ask. Although if things are generally moving in the right direction then I would just go with the flow for a while longer
