I accepted a job in another department waited till the last minute to sign contract . Not sure what happens if you start and then you get offered another job in another department even though both positions are within HMRC

I have done the same. I’m not sure what the process is. My other offer emailed me saying accepting my offer in another department would not affect the progress of this application though.

Honestly it’s taken me a year and half to get one offer . I constantly reading the feedback and scores helps fine perfecting my behaviours . But it’s not easy

Depends on the grade. If both positions are in the same grade, for DWP for example, you have to stay In that position for 18months before you are considered for 'LATERAL' moves, however, if it's a promotion as in you secured a role in a higher grade eg. AO to EO you are allowed to move. I suspect that HMRC would have similar guidelines. This information I mentioned is part of the DWP EO Workcoach job advert, you can Google it. To be sure, I'd recommend a quick call to hiring team and asking them since both are within HMRC...

Dude I'm in the same boat. I applied for every campaign nationwide about 10 of them, always made to interview but flunked them. I can't tell how happy and grateful when I read I passed it. Relisilience and persistence pays off! Ofc, lots of practice and preparation too! I was so happy to see my preparation was working when I consistently improved in all stages scores. That kept me motivated and focused.

Just apply to all hiring compaigns that are live. In my case I don't mind relocating so was genuinely applying to all places. But some candidates they applied for practice interviews etc different departments DWP/MoJ/HMRC/etc

Has anyone heard back today? A friend of mine has received an email to say their application was withdrawn as they did not attend their resit interview. I did the original interview however haven’t received any thing as of yet. Just curious.

Nothing yet but hopefully that can be taken as a sign that things are moving in the right direction

Also I’m curious, what do they mean by resit interview?

Yeah if nothing else at least it means they’re looking 😂 and to answer your question usually whenever you have technical difficulties you will be offered an opportunity to resit your interview. My friend was offered that option a couple weeks after the original interview deadline and given a week to complete it. So that’s probably why recruitment has taken even longer.

Did the job ad say they were hoping for the job to start In September? No hope of that now surely?

It’s only the beginning of July - there’s still plenty of time and I’ve heard that checks with HMRC aren’t as long as other areas of CS

Hi, I received an email last week and they asked for my photo IDs again in the form of recorded video interview of 30 secs. They said it’s a part of screening. I wonder if anyone received such email. I think by next week we will hear something but tbh it’s frustrating.
