For those who have completed their PEC how long on average does it take ?

It can take anything between 3-8 weeks - it’s completely dependant on a few things

Which 4 are you still waiting on? I really hope so as the constant checking is driving me insane 🤣 I don’t know why I keep checking as it’ll take as long as it takes but I can’t help myself 😂

Ugh haha! Same here. I know mine will take a couple more weeks but I still keep refreshing my mails and the site. I still have time spent abroad, employment history, convictions and occupational health left.

Hi, would you happen to know how easy it is to switch to part time of you want to?
And are there Flexi and how does it work?
Also, I understand that the working hours are 7am - 8pm. How easy is it to pick your hours? Can you decide to start at 12 noon? Of course after the 1st 3 months.

Just re the part time and the person who’s mentioned you’d stay in the training department longer. I’ve found out this week this only applies for less than 30 hours- 30 upwards can still move with the full timers at the nine month mark 🙂

Hi, do you know if we can request reduced hours at this stage (I'm still undergoing pec) or is it too late?

From reading the advert again, it seems to suggest that you can request reduced hours after the initial 12 weeks training

Thank you. I just re read it and it does indeed state that. There is no mention of annual leaves on the advert. Are you aware how many we would be entitled to?

If you scroll down after the bit after being able to ask for reduced hours after 12 weeks, it says about annual leave - it’s in the section about benefits of working with the civil service. It is 25 days plus bank holidays to start and then for every year you work for the civil service, you get an extra day up until 5 days so after 5 years you’ll have 30 days plus bank holidays
