Lonely and moody when flatmates are away

Living in a college town and their year has just ended. Many of those I know have already left for summer. My flatmates aren't students but also happening to be away these few nights. The lease is up soon as well, which means I may not see them again. I feel so lonely and moody that I start doubting the meaning of life.

Hey, it’s tough when the flat is empty. Do you have time to make some summer plans for yourself? That would give you something to look forward to.
can you visit family? That always helped me feel less lonely when living away in a different city.
I find that keeping busy helps, it makes you feel a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
