nah it will be high 50s the highest they ever been was 57/80

Ye but if people are saying this was easy compared to 2023 will they go up again

Reply 181

I'm going to just say that they're going to be high 50s. keep my hope alive

nah 2023 was way more easier there was only one question that was hard in that whole paper t this paper had 2 hard questions and had the most dumbest question ive seen in my life the matrix one

How high do u reckon they’ll go, low 60s, high 60s?
Ppl saying it is easier than 2023 so above 57. Don't quote me here, I am just going off this forum's response!

We got the module tests, they should hopefully do the trick for the confirmed A!

It was really good, one of the easiest papers I've done acc. Only annoying part was inversing a 3 by3 matrix with coefficients for one 1 mark.
I was so confused as well because i thought at first I would have to invert it fully but then i realised u didnt have to because (A^-1)(A) = I and the question says AB= (kx+c)I, then A^-1= B/kx+c

Did any one get the show that the angles 66.9 or the area of AOB smth like that 😭 My brain went blank for those

yes took me a while to work out but u use the cosine rule, and area that area=1/2absinc

guys dont overthink it what ever happens happens yk what i mean just focus on what u can do now u got a mechanics paper on friday if u think u didnt reach an A for this paper make up for it in the next

Good advice

would anyone here be kind enough to tell me what's comes up on the paper so I can get ready for my alevel. if I could find out what the questions were I can gage how difficult our papers will be

Question 1 was roots of polynomial using the sum of roots sum of products etc.
question 2 was 3d linear transformations with vectors nice question
Question 3 was series
Question 4 was matricies there was a matrix AB=3k+c(I) and there was a one marker to find the inverse of A and then you had to use that to find solutions for a system of equations in terms of k
Question 5
argand diagrams circle , max modulus came up, then they added a line to the diagram and it was the sector area at the top so sector area - triangle
Question 6
Modelling vectors shortest distance between 2 skew lines
Question 7
Proof by induction series and proof by induction division
Question 8 volumes of revolution modelling q

How many marks was the summation question? - it was such a good question!

Was it trig ?

bro I just want to let you know you dropped your crown bro. thank you so much for this and based on this I can predict my a level paper really well. thanks again and just wanted to ask if u could elaborate just a bit more about questions 2,3,4 in the sense for 2 what did they ask, 3 was there a b and c and what were they? and for 4 besides the one marker what was it. Im freaking stressing out for my level so seeing this level of help and kindness is refreshing and much appreciated

Question 2 you had the reflection in the plane y=0 and they gave a 3d rotation matrix, cant remember for which axis/plane though, you had to find co ordinates of the transformation of a certain point and then you had to find the angle between that point and the other afterwards you had to find the area of the triangle that those 2 points formed with the origin. Question 3 was series part a was standard, part b you had to sub in 3k to your answer from a and simplify it and part c they asked to find values of k which would solve a certain summation using bits from part a and b. Question 4, part A was a determinant of a 3x3 and finding a value for which it was singular, part c you had 3 planes and you had to solve them in terms of k using your answer to the 1 marker in part b. Best of luck with your A-levels man, you got this!

I found them really nice to be honest with you I struggled with the 3rd question on stats but that’s because I was being a muppet 😂 but over all both were super nice! I take mechanics p(25) and stats (p23)

I was abt to have a heart attack in further pure - for one of the q the answer was supposed to be integers but i was getting surds for a straight 5 mins 😭 I dunno how that calculator survived that period of time. I finally got it but it caused me to run out of time for last sub q in decision.
T FORMULAE WAS A BLESSING!
