Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out about studying Business and Management with Marketing at the University of Reading! It is understandable to have concerns about your predicted grades and their alignment with the entry requirements.

Whilst I can’t speak specifically to the leniency of the course regarding grades, I can assure you that the admissions team at Reading consider various factors beyond just grades when making offers. This may include (subject to your degree programme) factors like an EPQ, personal statement, availability on your degree programme or extra curricular activities. The University of Reading provides a fair and inclusive admissions process. I would not worry until results day as you will most likely have nothing to worry about!

Even if you were to get grades lower than expected, our clearing team will be there to assist you on results day and days after that if your still set on Reading! Therefore, I would rest assured that whatever the outcome may be for you on results day, there are plenty of options to explore with help from our team here at Reading.

It may be worth contacting out admissions team if you wish to find out more about the competitiveness of the course. You can call the admissions team on 01183788372 for undergraduate programmes. Or if you don’t want to call, you may wish to email them on [email protected] - the team will be happy to help!

Concerning your accommodation deposit, it’s great to hear you have taken steps to secure your accommodation! It may be worth asking admissions this when you contact them.

Best of luck with your studies! I hope everything works out!

Millie
