i kinda screwed up paper 1, specifically the christmas carol question as i didn't have time to finish my answer. i think my macbeth essay was quite good. but the christmas carol was not it.

Exactly the same for me, my Christmas carol essay is so unbalanced I wrote a couple of pages for the whole text but then half a page at most for the extract. I found the extract awful for the question too.

SAME! I'm hoping the Macbeth essay will drag the overall grade up

For Macbeth question, I didn’t write about how Lady Macbeth loses her power at all really, but the rest of my stuff was very good I think. Can I still get a high grade (7-9)?

tbh i didnt either i just wrote how it can be foreshodowed to be bad for her later but jekyll and hyde i wrote more about setting how that makes it fearfull and dangerous but i dont know if that was right

this was me!!! Macbeth was a very good question but it surprised me as I was more prepared for kingship and Macbeth but it was still fine. However, would it be fine for me to reference the Garden of Eden twice in each of my paragraphs but interpet them differently to prove my point(as I am scared that I will lose marks for this:frown:) With Jekyll and Hyde, I wouldn't say it went shambolically but definitely ran out of time and could have expanded more on my points IF ONLY THERE WAS MORE TIMEπŸ₯΄
to be honest, it may have been more obvious for the examiner to give you marks if you analysed how she loses her power but no need to worry as you can still achieve grades 7-9 with well developed analysis!!!!
i only had time to briefly cover her transgression anyways as i was short of time and my analysis for it was quite rushed but do you think the fact i mentioned that by her reflecting on her evil, she restores the natural order which she displaced would be good analysis?
