Personally thought it was harder than all the past papers, curious as anyone’s thoughts on the questions

I swear half the questions were concepts we've never seen before

I just did the sum of the expression between 76 and 1- the sum of the expression between 1 and k-1🤷*♂️. So many questions that are usually so easy like transformation matrices and even the roots of equations question imo, the fact it was hard just threw me and caused me to make so many simple errors.

My exact thought, so many questions that I can do with ease on every past paper and other than complex numbers and vectors I don’t think there’s anything I answered confidently
Good to see others found it hard not just me 😭. That matrix question was really weird I thought.
anyone remember what they got for k on the transformations question?

I got 0.25 but I certain it’s wrong bc I put it back into the matrix and didn’t work, how did you do the question bc I’m not sure if my approach was completely wrong
Worst exam I’ve done in my life 😂
I liked the loci and the complex numbers, the planes were fine too. Everything else at least I tried.

Seems like WJEC really didn’t like us this year

i got k = 2.375

T = rotation * reflection

(rotation)^-1 * T = reflection

general reflection matrix is in formula booklet

compare LHS and RHS to solve for theta

k = tan(theta)

I got 4- tried multiplying t2 and t1 to get T but got a double angle trig equation, then tried t1=t2inverse multiplied by T

for the fixed points, was it y=-13x ==> infinite points?
what was the locus intersection solution

I did the the reflection and rotation matrices times together and equated to T as if you’re solving ones from previous papers so I ended up with an algebraic matrix involving trig equations so i definitely messed it up

I got 4. When I put it back in, it was correct

Yes! I got the same thing!

Your steps are correct but I think your answer is wrong. The correct answer is 4.

I got -1,0 and 1,2

I got that too I think!

Omg thank God. I actually didn’t find the paper hard. I thought it was pretty okay. The only ones I didn’t like where the roots question (I got my answer in terms of m) and the summation of series question where we had to find 2 values for k.
