Cracks in retainer

So I have an essix plastic retainer. I was meant to get a replacement one today but the stupid orthodontist "forgot" to put the order through, meaning I waited two weeks for nothing, and I'll have to wait at least two more weeks for another one. i have a small crack in the retainer on the sides and some holes. will my teeth move much? they've had holes in them for a few years but the crack only appeared relatively recently. it's very small and the retainer is still in tact

If you have had them for a few years now, i doubt they will move very much. My daughter had hers for a year, but had a bad abscess on the lower tooth which resulted in the upper retainer agrivating it so she didnt wear it for about a month. it was fine, but for couple of days she could feel her teeth a bit 'tight' against the reatiner, but soon settled. rather than wearing it at night and you biting it in your sleep and it cracking even more, perhaps wear it in the day only?
