Waiting on DBS

Hope all well. Does anyone roughly have an idea on how long a DBS takes to come through. It was sent off 2 weeks ago. As uni said they can't give me an unconditional offer till that comes through. Uni starts in 3 weeks but I have to give work 4 weeks notice. Thank you.

Hi there,

It can differ, for me personally, I've had instances where it's taken 2 weeks, to other times when it's taken 6 weeks. You should have a number or a nominated staff member at the university who can chase it up for you

Exactly as LJMU has said, your university should have a team dedicated to this so it's worth following it up to see if they can do anything. It's worth chatting with them about the worst case scenario as well to make sure you are completely aware of all the possible outcomes, and solutions where needed - LG
