Did anyone else panic in the english lit exam?

I had worked hard for english lit and had an academic comeback months prior to the exam, so I wasn't too nervous and was expecting a high grade. I smiled when I saw the Macbeth question because I was so relieved, but then I started writing and it was bad. I rambled some bits, barely mentioned context and when I did it was practically bolted on and not explained well at all. My structure was lacking and I know it, plus I didn't write a conclusion and barely used many quotes.

Jekyll and Hyde was ok but I just didn't get to finish at all. Only a thesis and 2 paragraphs I managed. The time constraints caused me to panic and I practically forgot everything I had spent absolute ages working hard to remember. It is just so disheartening and the worst part is everyone found it so easy.

Paper 2 is next week but that is 3 essays with 45 min per section which is just absolutely not enough time for me at all. I either have too much to talk about or not enough and it ends up sounding lower level or I don't finish.

Can anyone relate?

Hey, it's okay. It sounds like you worked really hard, so don't doubt yourself! There's still paper 2, which you can use to increase your overall grade. You never know what might come up, it might be a question that you know really well!
I did Jekyll and Hyde today too, and I agree, there was so much to write about, I don't feel like I was able to include everything I could have said, but overall I am still happy with the content I got in. Just remember that as long as you got some good points down, you will be fine!!

If it makes you feel any better, someone in my class panicked when they saw the Romeo and Juliet question, so decided to answer the Macbeth one instead!!! Bearing in mind they have never read Macbeth, and don't know a thing about the story line, let alone quotes! They just made it up! At least you didn't do that!
