you see people got that because in the working out you used the value of pie of 3.1415926535.., when in the question it said π = 3.14, i first used the long value of pie on my calculator but then soon realised in the question it said pie = 3.14 so when you used this value you get a number rounded to 8010

I got 8010, but rounded it to 2sf , still showed all my workings though.
would i lose marks for not rounding it bc i dont remember them asking for it rounded

no i think it was 8010 ?...
The difference between the answers 8010 and 8016 is to how much the length value was rounded to even if you used 3.14. 8016 is if the length was used as 499 nm and the answer is 8010 if the length was used as 499.36. Do you all think that would make a difference to the examiners if the value was rounded to 499 or kept at more decimal places?

i did the same thing, honestly i'm not sure, especially since they theoretically could mark this one more harshly
