Managing Allergies in Postgrad Accommodation

Hello!! I have just received an offer for an MSci at Sheffield 
and am looking at accommodation options.
I'm really hoping to live somewhere where I have my own kitchen because I have allergies and have struggled with reactions due to careless housemates throughout my undergrad. Can anyone explain how sorting this works/whether this is even possible?
