I got 74.1% on the titration question to be honest because of HCl reacted in excess so i had to like find out the actual moles that reacted and used that to determine the moles of MgO. Still don't know if i was right tho :frown:

i didnt get this my friend did

yeah I had no idea for it also 😆 , I took the amount of moles of water and assumed it to be the same for MgO. But who knows I know a fried got over 40 for it so no answers have matched up yet!

I got around 40ish % on the titration, I looked at the mol of the one we where told to work out, and it reacted in a two to one ratio and worked it out from there and then proceeded to question my life choices on the test tube test question

Oh my god yeah the test tube question was pretty scummy to be honest I was lucky in the fact that I revised that stupid thing though 😂, oh I understand I thought that because HCl was in excess then you couldn’t use the 0.05 mol calculated so I instantly started to work with the Mol of other substance and got an amount of mol for the water 😂, yeah I have no clue on that one but a friend of mine looks to have done the same thing!

I got just under 45% from subtracting excess mols with the mols remaining then div by 2 bc of the ratio

yeah that sounds fair enough! I understand that, it was a weird question and a lot of people are being confused by it - understandably!

No it’s a public school but the way they are treated there may aswell call it jail 😭😭. It’s meant to be all the smartest kids in london but their last mocks they all failed so they locked the common room and told them to either revise in the library or leave the building after lessons. She told me they all got 29.8% and explained her working so seemed right

It was a tough question regardless. Even if you didn't get the correct final answer, if your working is clear and methodical you should be able to pick up a decent number of marks 😁

Ah yes a good old prison school, sound like how mine should be with lower school but they just don’t care 😂, oh my god they got locked in the common room? That’s crazy! And to be honest with you that makes a lot of sense I am likely wrong in that case if the revision convicts all got the same answer after being locked away 😂

imma be real i go to that same skl and i got 45% and a couple friends did as well
