In need of guidance around exams

Last year was a rough one for me as I developed a few mental problems that made me think about surviving more than revising, and hence my A-Levels took a massive decrease down.

I have exams soon and I’ve been trying to pick up anything I can dedicating all my time to revising and trying to ignore the other things since I have no other choice, I haven’t put this under mental health since I need advice moving forward about my education

My A levels are Psychology, Maths, Computer Science, I was hoping to get into the university I wanted to and learn Comp Sci but I don’t think I’ll be getting the grades for it, nevertheless I’m still going to try. My NEA for computer science was apparently not that good, and was told that I needed to ‘massively score on paper 1-2’ for a good grade, I’ve been contemplating resitting exams to try and get the grades for uni but don’t know how it would work.

Especially when it comes the NEA in comp sci, do I restart it alongside comp sci? How will it work? Of course I don’t want to plan for failure but I’d rather know a backup plan now rather than last minute. Any help is appreciated

Do your exams, do your best to pull it back for paper 2 and 3 as you can still get a good grade. Figure out where you want to go in your future and look at pathways needed to get there. You can usually repeat year 13 if you didn't get the grade. Speak to your school as they have a duty of care.

I had rejected their counselling due to already being in admission to therapy through the doctors, I’m just skeptical that they’d allow me to retake since my attendance is probably the worst in school, though they have seen an increase in my attendance as my disorder subsided gradually. Regardless I’ll try to do everything I can, thank you for replying

Its definitely worth speaking to your school and just explain how you feel and what's going on. They have a duty of care regardless if you rejected counciling. Good luck, if not there are other colleges that you could attend and repeat year 13.
