I guess that depends on what type of music degree you're thinking of and at what type of institution (conservatoire, university, or specialist music school/college) and what your eventual career ambitions are! What is your main instrument, and do you have any second/third instruments? (Voice counts as an instrument.) Have you done any grades? Have you done any music theory exams? What would your predicted grades for UCAS be, if you know that?
Popular music courses are great for this. They're generally a mix of performance, production and songwriting, so doing this might help you figure out what you want to do after uni. There are plenty of options, don't worry, and the music industry is far from dying, so there is money to be made. If you're not huge on music theory then look for course content that focuses on other theory based subjects (like music histories or psychology in music) that also have practical modules, like individual creative projects, performance or production.
