Open University and Universal Credit for a Disabled Carer

I had to stop my study when I had my children, I paused my level 5 diploma at 67% and would love to transfer this to the OU to complete a BS honours degree.

We currently get Universal Credit as my husband and I both work for the local authority and are low income. I work 27 hrs a week currently. We also get PIP for my disability and DLA for one of my children with additional needs, for whom I am considered a carer.

If I was to get an advanced learner loan or student loan , does anyone know if I would get universal credit topping up from my lack of income were I to stop working in order to complete the course faster?
