As level geography

I had my AS exam for geography and it said to write about a local place I studied for impacts of climate change on the coastal landscape, I got mixed up between the distant and local and wrote about a coast that isn't in the UK. Does this mean I won't get any marks for it?

No, it just means you will be capped at most likely level 2 or 3, this means you will probably get 4 ISH, as long as the rest is ok and as long as other parts of the paper can make up for it, it's completely fine
