Hi Patrickbatemann,

I am a 3rd year student of Coventry University and currently studying cyber security, you will get to meet other students in school soon.

Kind Regards,

Hi there @patrickbatemann 👋

Not to worry! As a Computing BSc student who started during the pandemic, finding friends was double the difficulty 🥲. But some tips: as our ambassador replied earlier, you will definitely have the chance to meet students soon. They will all be in the same nervous boat as you but just as eager to make friends. Freshers will also give you that opportunity to break the ice and meet new people during your welcome week 🎉! Personally, I decided to immediately make a Discord server and post an invite link in our academic communal space, and had over 300+ students join 😧. We had meet-ups at TheHub and became friends for the rest of the year. Hope it helps!

Hi there,
Coventry University Student Ambassador here,
I understand going to the uni as a fresher without knowing many people could be really nerve racking, although id say with the support we have to offer here at Coventry University you wouldn't have much to worry about in regards to this altogether
As, firstly you can try interacting with our uni buddy platform which would enable you to connect further with students like yourself may sharing the same course as you and also with student ambassadors available on there to help 24/7!
Further, I would recommend you keep an eye out on the events page of the university as that will provide you with the opportunity to meet and interact with new people!
Lastly, you can also try joining a society through your.su aiding you in socialising with likeminded people sharing similar interest, while also being a nice addition to your extracurriculars as well.
I hope this would be helpful to you,
All the best!!
Kind regards,
Harleen.

Hi - Sadly not but when you start please do let me know what the course is like, very interested as its a newer one. Thinking about doing a MPhil or MSc in it.

hey! in my opinion (based on the experience ive had in the first semester) its’s great honestly it’s not as overwhelming as i expected and the uni offers really good support if you need anything like an extension or extra help. i’d say the structure of the modules is nice and the content is interesting. hope this helps and good luck with whatever you decide to go forward with!!

Hey hi i have also applied for the same course but january intake but my cas is still at 61% i dont know whether i will be able to come by january im waiting for my cas if anyone knows a solution please let me know
Hi there,
If you're waiting for your CAS and your current progress is at 61%, it’s important to stay proactive. First, make sure you've submitted all required documents, including transcripts and financial evidence, as this can delay CAS processing. Contact Coventry University directly to get clarification on your status. You can email the admissions team at [email protected] or call them for an update Click. Be sure to explain your situation and ask for guidance on how to improve your CAS or whether they need any additional information from you. They’ll be able to provide you with specific advice on your case and what steps you can take to ensure you’re ready for the January intake. Keep them updated on any changes in your situation, and don’t hesitate to reach out for further support.
I hope this information helps you.

Thanks & Regards,
Coventry University Student Ambassadors.
