Uni of Sheffield Stanage Accommodation

Hi! I'm currently looking at staying in Stanage, but just wanted some opinions. It seems nice and quiet - close to both the edge and the exit. But because of where it is located, I feel like it might be a bit isolated? Also it's close to the taxi rank and parking, so is there a lot of outside noise? I really want to make sure that I'm still getting the community feeling of being in Endcliffe. My other options are Froggatt F and Curbar A.

on my visit i got the chance to visit stanage and it’s really nice in there. I know what you mean abt it seeming quite isolated but i think in that way it’s got the best of both worlds, it’s not completely distant like Ranmoor but it’s not going to be next to the noisy buildings. it all depends on what you’re looking for really, I’ve picked stanage as my top option because of it.

That's really good to hear. How was it on the inside? Were the rooms/kitchen nice and spacious? I thought because it looks like more of an older building, it may not be as fresh as the other building are - what did you think of it?

i only visited the ground floor which i think was only for 5 people. it was quite nice as the sun wasn’t directly on the building so i know it’d feel cool in summertime. it seemed fine on the inside, the kitchen had new appliances (fridge, stove etc) it was a little small but was more spacious than the room i saw in froggat.

To me the conditions were fine, nothing was old and for the bedroom i visited, the wall was painted green (which i honestly didn’t think look bad - maybe because i love the colour green </3).

Thank you! I ended up missing out on Stanage unfortunately and got a room in Froggatt instead, but thank you so much for your insight
Hello. We lived in Stanage in 2007. It was GREAT. I met my best friends. Have a great time. Lots of love, Sarah
