PA (physician associate) studies at Hertfordshire

Hey has anyone applied for the physician associate programme at hertfordshire? I’ve been accepted and I’m just wondering how the teaching/life is like at hertfordshire as I’ve heard different things not sure what to believe.

Hey @Aleveluser1012 !

Congrats on the acceptance! Huge achievement that you should be really proud of 🙂

I was a student at Herts until last year so I can give you some insight into the student life at Herts. Hatfield is a small and quiet area just 25 minutes away from London. Being from London meant that the change from the big bustling city to a smaller town was significant but at no point was it a negative change. The closeness to nature and walkability was great for me. That being said, the campuses were always vibrant and exciting. I stayed at College Lane, where I met some great people, had a lot of fun and was able to use the brilliant facilities that the University provides.

If this is something you're into, there are lots of events and parties that take place in the Forum, but there are also lots of sports events and societies that you can join (I was in the film society 🎥).

Being close to London, St Albans and Watford gives students a great range of environments to engross themselves in. Click here to learn more about Herts and Beyond.

As for your desired course, I may not be an expert in that field as I studied Business and Marketing; however, I do know that we are proud to offer:

Fantastic Facilities: You will practice within our nationally recognised state-of-the-art simulation centre.

Work-Related Learning: You will be exposed to local healthcare environments for real-life practical training, to maximise local employment opportunities upon graduating.

Strong Industry Connections: Benefit from clinical placements with local hospitals and trusts including Hertfordshire University Trusts, Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and GP practices.

If you would like to chat with our current students, I would recommend signing up for Unibuddy and chatting with our ambassadors!

Hope this helps 🙂 Again, congrats on your acceptance and good luck with your future studies! We'd love to see you at Herts.

I’ve heard good and bad things but apparently the uni is disorganised but I’m not too sure though. Have you heard anything?
