Edexcel GCSE Psychology Paper 1 (1PS0 01) - 15th May 2024 [Exam Chat]

Hmm it went actually good,
I walked in scared ngl,I felt like I would get 4 or maybe 5
But I feel like I might get a 8 or a 9
The only ones that got me bad were the caspi et al queation (My stupid bum forgot Bout the 5htt gene, nah I'm just on another level 💀)
And those darn 9 markers, I was doing the first markers in the last 5 minutes, nah time management is insane, I managed to do a little bit of the last question, only got about 6 points in, which might be wrong lol I feel like I might lose 20 marks minimum, like bare minimum, but now if I found it decent, I feel like the thresholds might be insanely high.
Ehh I hope all the people found it nicely and I hope your studies paid off, good luck to all, and respect to those who studied hard. Psychology probably made us go psychotic lol

i messed up so bad but that’s on me i didn’t revise much. i forgot about the caspi question too😭 and the issues and debates one i literally wrote nothing but im hoping for a grade 4

It went pretty well; I knew basically everything (don't want to get too overconfident here) and the 9 markers were a breeze for me. The only question which kinda stumped me a little was Carol Dweck's weaknesses and strengths for her mindset theory, so I basically waffled on that. Blew straight over my head, lol. I forgot Caspi for majority of the test, and remembered it basically last minute so I was able to rush my answer within the last 10 minutes. Other than that, everything was nice! Hope paper 2 is as nice as this

i feel like lots of people found this easy?? or like okay does this mean the grade boundaries are going to be really high? i got a 4 in my mock but i didn’t revise for the mock soooo. but i revised quite a bit for the real thing and answered every question soo hoping for a 5 what did everyone else think?

that’s what i want to get at least! i don’t want to get my hopes up too high. a higher grade would be amazing! but a 5 seems like a good mark to me i will hopefully get higher than that but if i don’t i won’t be as disappointed. x
