gcse edexcel eng lit help pls !!

on paper 1 i was suddenly really really tired and i really just couldnt think so i spent too long on the first qu of section 1. i did a great introduction, very mediocre paragraphs but with technique analysis and a pretty bad conclusion. i then only had about 30 mins left so i moved onto section 2 (the 40 marks qu) and i was stressed by the time i had left and that i hadn't done part b of section 1 so the quality was worse than the qu1 but i managed to do 3 paragraphs again with a good introduction, average technique analysis, good quotes, a bit of context but not too much if i remember correctly, and a mediocre conclusion. i skipped all of part b so if anything i could only get 60/80 as a total even though i literally cannot because i was not in the best condition to write an exam for whatever reason that i got that much fatigue. my target for eng lit is an 8 but i got a 9 in the last mock and i find it really easy. i normally struggle with timing though, so im afraid of skipping something in paper 2 as well. is there any way that i could get anywhere near an 8 in literature overall if i do decently in paper 2?

don't worry, it happens to the best of us.
last year's grade boundaries were: 9 - 132/160... 8 - 121/160... 7 - 110/160
Lets say you get a decent 60/80 for your Paper 1 (which would be nearly a grade 9 remember), you would need 72 marks out of 80 in this upcoming paper...
I wouldn't say its impossible, but it will be difficult... bearing in mind the grade boundaries are likely to go up this year bc no gov support. Just try ur best tomorrow.. you'll be fine!

unfortunately i missed most of qu1's part b and the entire of the poetry anthology bit. my quality for part a and unseen poetry was excellent but im scared that i wont be able to do eng lit since its my alevel choice if i end up not getting at least a 5 (requirement for the schools ive applied for) im really upset i know i could get a nine bc i did in the mocks and i know id do really well in eng lit alevel ughhh

apologies that i just saw this. hopefully you get into the 6th form you want to... its all done and dusted now and all u can do is wait for the results 🙂 nothing now will change is so just chill and let everything play out! good luck for aug!
