Work expereicne

I'm playing on to do the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and looking for work experience for at least a week. However I've been in contact with my local force and they have stated that they cant offer work experience due to safeguarding and saftlky. Thereofre i was wondering if anyone had any advice on what type of work epereicne i should consider but leading towards related skills and knowledge needed for the course...
One interst is either sports coaching or dog training.

If you're under 18, realistically the only work experience you're going to be able to get will be to join Police cadets. There isn't any other mechanism for anything else. Once you're 18 there are various volunteering roles and you can also request ridealongs. The only thing with the volunteer roles is that they'll probably take ages to get all the admin done for.

I don't think you have a lot of options unless you're on a college programme like Uniformed Public Services who might have specific things you can go on - for a week, it's unlikely anyone will want to take you on because of all the vetting etc that might be involved. If its policing you want to go into, maybe try something sort of related that will at least show you've tried - maybe an alarm company or public events.
