Are my parents in the wrong?
Hi,
Im trying to save up for a car to then do a driving test with it as I know how to drive and im doing automatic- there’s no automatic instructors around me- I had one but he kept cancelling my lessons and even cancelled my test two hours before. So he was very unreliable.
I have a cabin crew assessment day & interview on the 28th of this month.
I need to get a car, however, I only have 2.3k.
I look after the family dog during the day 7am- 3pm (my parents are at work & siblings at school) and then work afterwards until 10. I don’t work many hours and enough to save and really wanted to expand my days , however, my sister will finish her a levels soon and so I will need to cut down on my days per week so we can take in turns to watch the dog. Surely this isn’t our jobs???
Am I being disrespectful? I walk her morning & lunch time EVERY DAY without fail. I have done for almost two years. They never appreciate it, they say all I do is stay at home and don’t do anything!! How can I when im not able to work in the day? How are they going to cope when I get this cabin crew job??
I’m sick of it.
I hate it. I wish I had enough money to move out and actually be happy. I love my parents & family but they just speak to me awfully all the time. I’m done.
I have a nice home and im grateful , I have now started to pay £200 rent a month which is fine but I don’t work properly full time. It’s so difficult what do I do???? What other jobs can get me more money on the side or can someone help me think of something??

Ahh I understand. Are you applying for cabin crew did you say? Won’t that pay well if you get the job?

Yes I do hope so but I’d have to rely on public transport as I live in a small town. Buses only run from 7am until 5 pm / 6 pm and so I’d have to get a train & taxi as cabin crew shifts can be overnight. So im trying to pass my test asap but doesn’t look like it’s happening :/
I’m very nervous as I don’t know how it’s all going to work.

Ohh I see, yes that is tough :/ I wish I could give you advice, I’m probably not the best person to help 🥲 that sucks that you can’t get much help from your parents, but I think if you manage to get this job and when you eventually pass your driving test things should get easier.
