Hi,

The choice of accommodation depends what your priorities are. The University has 7 accomodation sites across Southampton and 1 in Winchster. It is important to consider the location of the accommodation site you are at (whether or not you want to be in the city?/ what campuses you will end up using?- students often prefer accomodation that's closer to their main campus).
If you are after part-catered accommodation, you will want to request aroom at Highfield halls.
Another thing to consider is the type of room you want. We have different types of en-suite and shared bathroom rooms. These increase in size and style with the type of room. However, more enhanced rooms are more expensive, so consider your budget. En-suite room will also be more expensive than those with shared bathrooms. The University also has a small number of studios for students and 1-bedroom flats for families.
Some types of room are only available at certain halls sites. There is a wider range at our larger sites such as Glen Eyre and Mayflower halls. Our larger sites may huave more facilaties on site as well, though all halls sites have 24-hour security, high speed internet and laundery facilaties.
With every university accomodation offer, you get a free Unilink Bus pass, which you can use to get to campus. There are bus stops close to all of halls sites.

If you want more information, you can see the university accommodtaion webpage.
Hope this is helpful
