Sports Therapy to Physiotherapy

I have completed an undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy and am now seeking to transition into physiotherapy. I am looking for advice on the best path to enter the profession, including information on relevant courses, funding options, degree apprenticeships, and preparatory steps. Additionally, I would appreciate hearing other peoples experiences/routes into Physio.

Use the NHS course finder and search for postgrad/accelerated courses for physio. You will then get a list of pre-registration masters - 2-year courses that should attract undergraduate funding (both tuition fee and maintenance loans if you get your finance from SFE). You will need to check the entry requirements for each course to see if your undergraduate degree is acceptable:

You will be interviewed for a healthcare course and will be expected to have physio shadowing experience and public facing work/volunteering experience. Also, learn the NHS values and 6 Cs.

If you go to a uni in England and are eligible for student finance, then you would also be able to apply to the NHS Learning Support Fund for the annual training grant of £5k per year plus other benefits.

For information on apprenticeships read the following, but apprenticeships are quite rare:
