I think I'm going crazy - serious

I have a history of mental health issues, particularly depression as I have bipolar type 2.

I was having a conversation with a friend today about language learning. I'm learning German.
I made some comment about not being able to remember the name of the green letter, and she had no idea what I was talking about.
I was referring to the eszett (ß).
She had no idea why I called it the green letter and I think I might be "madder" than I thought.

Does anyone else see colours with letters or numbers:

ü - yellow
ö - greyish white, sounds like the wind is blowing
- green
e - dark yellow
H - red
S - blue

I just assumed everybody was like this tbh!
this is called synesthesia - there are different types and can manifest differently in everyone. i personally have auditory-visual synesthesia 🙂

Ok I need to read into this. Is it like a medical/mental health condition?

it’s a neurological condition, and it’s harmless 🙂 it can be associated with diagnoses of autism etc, as it is a form of neurodivergence
