gcse rant

ive started gcses and every night i promise myself I'm gonna revise, and then I don't.
its getting bad but at this point I have zero motivation to revise especially in subjects I dislike.
i HATE geography, I had to pick a humanity and history was a no go for me so geography it was, but for a subject that I really couldn't give one about, it has the most work.
i don't know wether to be angry at myself or feel sorry for myself at this point because I'm some subjects I'm just admitting defeat
not to sound depressed I promise I'm not just going off on one hope someone can relate

i feel the exact same, i just CAN'T revise so i just go into these exams and hope for the best, however with your geography rant, i feel the same about picking history. i wish i chose geography - not just bcuz my whole friend group chose it, but because it seems a bit less... content filling whereas for history we have to remember dates, periods, eras, monarchs, people, events, punishments, conferences, wars, etc... but yeah, i totally get you.

not just you man. for english i just hate it and i could barely get myself to revise all the poems. just feels great when you know you never have to do it again

I found when I was taking my GCSE's that using things like Quizlet and Kahoot, would make revision more 'fun' as it wouldn't feel like I was revising. You can normally download these on your phone as well so they are good on-the-go types of revision as well! There will probably be some already made revision quizzes on both Kahoot and Quizlet, so you probably wouldn't need to make any new ones.
I think there's some also some revision videos on TikTok that are created by Teachers or/and former GCSE students, these might also be a good revision source, if your needing something that doesn't feel like revision
