Weird entry requirements?

I’m looking at a course on UCAS which asks for 120 UCAS points but when I scrolled to the bottom it said the most common grades accepted were CCD which translate to 88 points. Lowest accepted were DDE which are 64 points.. how’s this the case? Don’t applicants automatically get rejected on results day if they don’t meet the minimum requirements?

Sounds really odd 120 UCAS points is BBB. It would be worth checking with the university on this one. Unless the lower grades are for contextual offer.

"Grades accepted" means "accepted in August" - not typical-predicted-grades-for-who-got-an offer.

There's a difference between what they want (and advertise to keep up their reputation) and what they will accept (in order to take in £9.250pa and balance their books).

I saw this as well. The entry requirements are B,B,C only. But the most popular A-Level grades achieved are C,C,C. How is that so?

I hope it means unis will be really flexible about accepting lower grades

I explained this on your previous thread in great details. Have a look again. Most universities accept dropped grades on results day.

Any course asking for BBC as a standard offer is likely to be flexible on results day.

No one is automatically rejected on results day. A human being reviews every near miss and decides whether they can still be accepted.
It’s also worth noting that the accepted grades data is from 2019 and earlier iirr. So often the requirements have changed over time
