New job

I started a new job at waitrose on the 12 th May and when I was asked in my interview if I had any holidays booked I said no because I didn’t have anything booked yet. However , my family are going away to Indonesia and I ofc really want to go on the annual summer holiday , is it doable to get authorized holiday for August or shall I ask around June/july ? I’m really scared they might tell me no

It would be best to check how many days holiday you are allowed to take and are entitled to. I don't think normally you are allowed to in the first month as this is generally a probation period but after that it should be ok. It should have some of the details in your contract. Otherwise there is no harm in just asking that you are thinking of taking some holiday with family members in (month your family are thinking of going). They could say no but could say it is ok. You could just say 'they have just booked it and asked you to join them' to try and tip it in to them hopefully saying it is ok.

I was asked if I had any holiday booked and I'm allowed to have them., Not sure if I'll have any holidays left for the rest of the year though.

Starting a new job and taking holiday.....

You need to notify them asap to see if they will approve your time off ok.... They do have the right to refuse any staff holidays so just be prepared for this if it happens.
You'll probably be on a 12 weeks probation period first and then they might decide to offer you a permanent contract. Your holidays are probably rota ( you accrued holidays each month you work at Waitrose - depending on how many days per week you work will depend on total amount of holidays you'll be getting.
You can always ask for unpaid leave as well especially if you are kept on after your probation period.

Best thing to do is discuss it with the story manager asap. They will be able to tell you whether or not you can get them.

A team leader and stand in supervisor as required with a big name supermarket .

Id speak to them as soon as possible about it. The sooner you speak to them the better your chances are.
They will be able to tell you whats what and let you know if you are likely to get it off.

If you’re part time you’re entitled to about 10 days a year
