missing an A level exam

what actually happens if you miss an A level exam?

(just to clarify no I did not miss my A level exam, I was just curious about what would actually happen if you did miss it)

You get zero marks for that paper.

Unless you missed the exam for an acceptable reason and your school/college is prepared to support an application for special consideration with the exam board. If so, the exam board have the option to award you a grade solely based upon the papers you didn't miss.
