Intermediate Biology Olympiad

I’ve signed up for the intermediate biology Olympiad designed for year 12 students this June. Has anyone done the intermediate biology Olympiad and can give me tips on how to study for it?
Also I’m confused as to why the past papers on the site do not have answers, how am I supposed to effectively use them in that case and know my answers are correct?

Quite difficult, there were many random questions on plants which were just general knowledge nothing covered at a level or gcse and then random general knowledge questions about animals such as ants and marine animals. Literally felt more like a botany test
