1) Is IB necessary? As i am studying with CBSEcurriculum.
Sadly the CBSE class XII curriculum isn’t accepted, so you’d need to do other relavent qualifications such as international A levels or IB. you can find details online for AQA international A levels. UK students typically do 3 subjects, and for law I’d recommend taking at least one essay subject such as History, even if you want to take science subjects too.
2)Which additional acessories would i be needing(like laptop etc.)
At Cambridge you can pretty much get by with just a laptop for studying, but everyone uses their own methods so you could use paper and pen if you wanted to. Otherwise, you just need things to help you live independently such as crockery, bedsheets, clothes, pots and pans etc.
3)Is taking Arts and Humanties stream in Class12th necessary for Law? If yes, which subjectsshould I take in it? If not, can i apply to the collegeif i have Science stream (PCM) with English (essaywriting involved subject)?
I’m not an expert in this topic, but I’d expect you’d have to show a high level of ability in English if it isn’t the language you did your schooling in, or your native language. Otherwise, I do know lawyers who didn’t do any essay subjects, but most do do some essay subjects such as History alongside any sciences.
4)What is meant by A*AA qualification?Do i need to give a spearate exam for the same? Ifnot, Can my 12th board Percentage above 90%would work? If not, please suggest an alternativeway.
This relates to the qualifications that UK students do, which are called ‘A levels’. These are graded with letters, and A* is the best:
A* - best
A
B
C
D
E
U - worst
Because we typically study three subjects for A level, Cambridge asks us to get an A* in one of these subjects, and an A in the other two.
5)Should I apply for foundation year (Arts andHumanities)?
I don’t think international students can apply for the foundation year, but you could do one at another university before going to Cambridge.
6)What subject combination you suggest would bsmost helpful for me for the entrance in theuniversity in my class 12th board?
Anything that shows the skills you’ll need for law, but this can include quite a variety. Common subjects are History and languages, but lots of people I know also did sciences, maths and so on.
