It doesnt make sense

Do you think your period is made of recently eaten food?

Depends on your flow levels the heavier the period at first the shorter the length the shorter the flow longer length.

You eat one way, you bleed the other, but no.

My mum says you should eat because you bleed and feel weak, or if you drink tea or hot beverages it makes you bleed more. That's what made me think eating would make me bleed more so I stopped eating. Just want it to be over.

I admit I am quite misinformed on this.

Your flow doesn't depend on the amount of food you consume or any liquid you do, flow can be light one cycle and heavy the other. If your flow is unusually heavy for a prolonged period of time, then see your GP. Mine was heavy and I had constant pain with mine to the point I was fainting, turned out I have PCOS.
