Is it too late to change college almost a year in?

I’m thinking of changing colleges two and a half terms into year 12. The problem is that I take Latin, which the only other college I’d be able to go to which does it is a state one hour away ish by train and walk. I’m currently at a private one I went to because it’s close, I got 2 scholarships and it does Latin. It currently usually takes me the same amount of time to get back from my current college compared to the one I’m thinking of changing to because of when I get a lift home. I’m looking to change because it’s a small college and I don’t have any friends in my courses, other than the only other person taking Latin. I feel like an outsider out of school because I go to private when all my friends go to state. My current school feels really out of touch with everything else. I feel terrible costing my parents for another year of school fees if I’m going to be unhappy there, but I don’t want them to think the last year has gone to waste. It hasn’t really, I’ve gotten great experiences out of it, but still. What do you guys think?

After half term, you will have summer exams and then the autumn term, mocks and then you'll be revising for exams. In reality, you have 1 full term or 1.5 tops. Changing now could set you back as schools teach the curriculum in different order.

Also, your parents choose how they spend their money. Don't feel guilty. Just take the opportunity and work hard. This time next year, it will nearly be over!

It is quite late you’d probably set yourself back quite a bit and is there any way to guarantee the other college wouldn’t be the same?
