UOB offer calculator for medicine

Hey guys, please help me out
I did the offer calculator for UOB medicine, but i got tentative
I know its my gcses.
I got 7777666655
7's in maths double science, and english language
however the 5 was in english literature
i worked so hard and was disappointed (tried to get a remark)
Do you think i'd be considered an interview? i have a lot of work experience and volunteering
Has anyone with gcse similar to mine got into UOB for medicine?
:frown:(

unfortunately Birmingham weighs GCSEs quite heavily. so unless you get a very high ucat and you’re contextual, i think it’s quite unlikely you’ll get an interview, and even then im not sure it’s worth the risk.

There are plenty of unis which you apply to with those GCSEs. The 5 in English language makes it a bit tougher but some unis that are still viable which come to include Newcastle, Bristol, Southampton etc. atp it’s just about making use your ucat is good enough to not limit your choices further and then doing your own research and applying strategically to whichever unis you meet the minimum entry requirements for

Oh oops i misread. In that case a lot more unis are open to you because they usually have minimum grades for maths and English lang. your GCSEs should generally be fine then but make sure you do your own research

You could deffo try somewhere like Bristol etc! Or even foundation years where you need like grade 5s. I got 4 6s and 5 5s and am looking at foundation years. If you get a high ucat score I’m sure you’ll be fine !
