GCSE lit paper 2 plan

Where do i actually plan my answers, my teacher said do it in the answer booklet but ive heard that you can lose marks for doing it there???

Write them in the answer booklet and then cross them out - whatever is crossed out will not be marked.

I always do my plans in the question paper. I find it useful to have all my ideas in the same place as the extract or question. But really I don't think it matters. Examiners see much worse than someone's plan (like a person writing out multiple answers unnecessarily) and will be understanding if they see your plan in your answer booklet. As long as it's obviously not a part of your essay, they'll understand it's just a plan
