i’m starting uon this year and I won’t know anyone. Who’d like to talk before starting in september and we could become friends?

Maybe you should go to cafe near your university and strike a conversation there, you'll introduce to seniors and maybe people who are regular. Its much better to have friends in society where you'll be staying, and exchange numbers and whatever.
