Medicine with really bad gcses

In gcses I got 77665554 (7 in maths, 76 in combined science). I got a 5 in English lang but im resitting it. I currently study A level bio chem and maths and I'm predicted A*A*A. Im going to do my UCAT this year and I'm wondering what my chances are to get into med?

It depends on which med schools you intend to apply to. For some GCSEs matter more, for others, less emphasis (and likely more on UCAT and other selection criteria). Do your research for medical schools that interest you, and apply strategically. But medicine is not ruled out for lack of excellent gcses!

Depends on a couple of things:
1) The UCAT you get.
2) The schools you apply to. With those GCSEs, avoid any schools that score the GCSEs/take it into account when sending interview invites. For eg: Cardiff, Leicester, QUB etc. Also, do check the minimum GCSE requirements for the schools you are interested in and that they allow for resits.
3) How your perform during the interview.
Your predicted grades look good. Hope this helps!
